WHERE:
The Showcase will be held at the Vintners Inn, 4350 Barnes Road, Santa Rosa, California.
WHO:
The focus of the Showcase is to bring grape growers and buyers together to network and sample the unique qualities of Mendocino grapes and to continue to elevate the profile of our County’s fruit. We are also opening the doors to restaurateurs and sommeliers to sample bulk wines that they could market as their own house label.
WHY:
Grape buyers will have an opportunity to get to know the talented men and women behind Mendocino County wine, many of them small, family winegrape growers. Mendocino grapes allow producers to maintain high quality standards while also offering to obtain fruit at a price that can compete with national and international imports.
HOW:
We want to help sell your product! Starting at 11:00 a.m., MWWC will present a 60-minute educational Sales/Marketing Session for growers only. The session will examine sales trends in the industry and how best to maximize your marketing outreach efforts in 2011. The session will speak to all growers regardless of size and level of marketing expertise. We ask that you prepare a list of fresh fruit, bulk wine and/or shiners that you will have available for sale in 2011. To make your product list as appealing as possible, please provide the following:
A full description of your vineyard and/or wine
The history of the vineyard or winery
Any information regarding who you may have sold fruit to in the past
Number of gallons, tonnage or cases
How and where it is stored
Varietal, clone, and rootstock type
Any other relevant information you may feel is important to share

At 12:15 p.m., we will host a sit-down lunch with growers and buyers, allowing you to network and make personal connections. During lunch we will have a brief 30-minute presentation from a few people who support Mendocino County fruit and wine.
Lunch will be followed by a Trade Show from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., so that you can provide buyers with samples of wines produced from your recent harvests. Please bring samples with you and be prepared to make deals!
We have also negotiated a reduced rate of $158 per night at the Vintners Inn for those of you who want to stay the night at this exquisite facility.
