39th Annual Mendocino County Fair Wine Competition
August 4, 2017
Deadline to submit is July 14th
All Mendocino County appellation and sub-appellation wines are eligible. There is no limit to the number of entries.
At least 50 cases (120 gallons) of each entry must be commercially available on August 4, 2017.
Please submit four bottles of each entry.
A wine may be entered in only one category. Wines carrying varietal labels corresponding to varietal categories may not be entered in the other varietal category.
Wineries winning gold medals should be prepared to provide a case of the gold medal wine along with a representative to pour at the Mendocino County Fair in Boonville September 15-17, 2017.

4. Pinot Noir
8. Italian red varietals
9. Blended red wine
10. Other red varietals
11. Dessert red wine
12. Sparkling wine
15. Alsatian white varietals
16. Sauvignon Blanc
17. Other white varietals
18. Blended white wine
19. Late harvest white wine
20. Blush and rosé wine
21. Fortified wine
Categories may be subdivided at the discretion of the competition director.
How to enter
Complete online entry at Enofile - if you have questions about this process, please don't hesitate to ask. Forms, fees and wine must be received by Wednesday July 14. Late entries will not be accepted.
The entry fee is $60 per wine for early bird registration before July 1st, and $70 afterward. Please make payment online; we cannot accept checks.
Four bottles of each entry are required. Please deliver wine, marked Wine Competition, by July 14 to:

Join the Mendocino wine community as we celebrate the award-winning wines from this year’s competition. A relaxed reception at the Boonville Fairgrounds will feature an abundant appetizer buffet provided by Boont Berry Farm. Sample over 200 wines from the competition while visiting with the esteemed judges and enjoying delicious appetizers. An awards ceremony will celebrate the Best of Class winners, culminating in the big reveal of the five Best of Show Awards. A list of all medal winning wines will be available for guests at the reception and online immediately after the awards presentation.
